Speaker A Thank you. So, yeah. Welcome to the 22 organizational design conference. My name is John Joseph. I'm an assistant professor of strategy at the University of California, Irvine, and I do work on organizational structure and intention. And so this is an area of interest, and I was lucky enough to be drafted as co chair last year. So that made me co chair this year. Thank you. It and no, we have actually, I think, what is a very good lineup of speakers. Just a few things here to get us rolling. I first just want to say thanks to a bunch of people. And while I'm saying thanks, I'm going to put the WiFi information in case those of you want to take advantage of it. So the Sfunet is what you should be looking for, and it'll bring up a browser and then the username and the password. So some thank yous. First, I'd like to thank Borg and Chuck for their help along the way. This ended up, as always, these things take a team effort, and they were very helpful in giving their advice. Morden Resmuzen for his great help in putting together the website and all the promotional items for this conference. I would also like to thank Samina Karim, who gave me advice on how to run this and advice on selecting speakers and whatnot. So that was a great help. Also, thanks to Rich Burton for doing that as well. He was helpful instrumental, in fact, getting one of our speakers, Lauren Nigel, here tonight, today. And I'd like to especially thank Maggie Jo, who was my co chair and who next year will be serving as chair of this event. Most importantly, our speakers. They have come from great distances. I know a lot of our academic participants were here already, but our practitioners have come for their own enrichment and ability to share with us their experiences, and it's a great opportunity. And I thank all the speakers for joining us today. I was told to make an announcement here that the session is going to be videotaped. The video is available for educational and non promotional purposes by the organizational design community. So just so you're sort of aware of that, and it is one of the reasons why, hopefully this won't be too much of a distraction, we're going to leave the lights on in the front so we can capture the images as we go along. Okay? And the way we're going to work today is we will have three sessions. Each session has three speakers. And in the sort of the theme of last year, we've tended to select one speaker from sort of the senior academic community. We've selected one speaker from the junior academic community, and we've selected one speaker per session that is from the practitioner community to give you sort of a broad view of sort of what's going on in organizational design. So I think that is it. If I could just give you a sneak preview here. What we'll do is we'll go about 20 minutes per speaker, give or take. We'll have about ten minutes of Q and A for each speaker. Move on to the next speaker. Lunch is from twelve to one. We'll have an afternoon early afternoon session and take a break.
